How to Add Vibrancy to Any Room

One design element to a room which often gets brushed over is its vibrancy. Colour and more importantly pattern can add a massive amount of vibrancy to any room. Textured or rich styled rooms are often features which can work towards giving a vibrancy that can in some cases evoke an individual’s senses. If you think of yourself as vibrant person, chances are that your homes décor should reflect this too.

A vibrant room can be finished off perfectly by what windows and window treatments you choose. They are where a huge portion of light comes from and because of this can be a made into a major focal point. This is a perfect place to start when you are considering the vibrancy of a room.

A versatile window treatment for any room is roman blinds. They, along with venetian blinds can create a lot of different effects and styles for a room. The designs can be simple and effective, just as it was when they were first made in the Roman Times. This is actually where the name was derived from. Roman blinds are usually made of fabric that can be drawn into rows of folds, and unfold straight when down. They are massively versatile for their design due to their fabric nature, and because of this are available in a variety of patterns and colours.

Colour

Warm colours on the whole are perceived to be more vibrant. Colours which are generally categorised as warm are yellow, oranges and particularly reds. To make a room look more welcoming and warm try using a number of colours. When it is done well it can be a great approach to go down, on the other hand when done wrong it can look too cluttered and in your face. This is when it can look a little sporadic or even uncoordinated. The magic amount of colours in most cases is three.

Patterned roman blinds How to Add Vibrancy to Any Room

Patterned roman blinds will most likely have numerous colours themselves, so it’s advised to incorporate those colours around the décor or the other way around, so that things match within the room.

Pattern

The pattern itself is most likely to be the main design element to consider. Patterned roman blinds are available in a large amount of styles including, geometrical designs, plaid, paisley, polka, and stripes, as well as famous paintings. You can be bold and choose a number of designs which have the same colour scheme, just make sure they complement each other. It can be hard to make this work on many occasions.

Symmetry and Balance

The pattern which you go for often can be not symmetrical; this is a factor that you may have to take into consideration. A room needs some sort of balance to look and feel right; this can be affected vastly by symmetry.  It doesn’t always have to be exactly symmetrical, just the general feeling can be enough sometimes.
